YouTube closing to silence dissent?

One of these days, AGBAD could seriously brand Deaf/ASL activists as “extremists” promoting an ideologically-based “violence” and radicalization, only in form of free speech and criticism against AGB.org. See this video below, implying that YouTube.com could be closed due to a possible passage of H.R.1955, – although the title suggested a sensationalist attempt to garner people’s attention to the video. So crank up your sound speaker system for the upbeat musical track.

Now, don’t get me wrong. YouTube is not closing as of the moment, as far as I’m concerned, H.R. 1955 is still not being discussed on the Senate floor as of yet. But it could be slipped into a companion bill soon, possibly a budget package or spending bill, as a way of covering its track toward its passage by the Senate and for the President’s signature (unless he is compelled to veto it). I’m 100% against this H.R. 1955 because it could spell the end of free speech and the First Amendment.

Moreover, if my hunch is correct, the initial concern is that if ADA Restoration Act of 2007 would not be passed, due to mounting pressures from corporations, human resources organizations and uninformed critics, many people with legitimate disabilities, including the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, could be stuck with a weakened ADA of 1990 and facing little prospects to have good-paying jobs and better living opportunities. It may create anger, frustration and, if I may daresay, an eventual radicalization among people with disabilities against the government and corporations unsympathetic and indifferent to their plights. :(

We shall see.
