In the movie, did ya noticed there were no destruction of mosques and minarets? And how this movie is timed nicely, in a vain effort it seems, with the global warming end-of-the-world scenario if we do nothing?
Yes, I did. None of that in the movie. However, at the end of the movie, when the arks were cruising toward Africa and a pullback shot showing the planet from the space, I noticed that much of the Arabian Peninsula is underwater, so that meaning Mecca, the center of Islam, got wiped out.

Emmerich did it again. 2012 looks awesome. I cannot wait until it comes out. The CGI is mind blowing. Finally there is a film to get excited about.

That’s different from seeing something destroyed in the process, and not afterwards.
