Prayers for H1N1 Flu Victims; Can you read lips covered by face masks?

UPDATE: the word “swine” is being dropped for a more preferable term, H1N1 flu. See this report. It’s only logical since it’s not a food-borne illness and you don’t get the flu from eating pork.

So far, over 150 people died from swine H1N1 flu and there may be more to come out of this swine flu pandemic eventually. From this point, we should all say a prayer to the swine H1N1 flu victims as more people are suffering and dying unexpectedly from it, especially in the more severe cases. Your relatives, your friends, someone you know by association, and all other people will be affected by this. All we truly needed are prayer, courage and hope to get through this difficult time and to help others. Fear is a powerful manifesting emotion within us, as uncertainty and confusion gradually creep into our minds, the greatest of all is the fear of the unknown. Insofar, the media isn’t making a fear-engulfing issue out of this and that’s a good thing. People are hopefully that the outbreak would be contained thoroughly, expectations from the governments and health organizations to deal with this pandemic are extremely high. Any slip-up would mean serious repercussions and people would take matters into their own hands.

That being said, CDC think we’re in a pre-pandemic phase. This is a reasonable presumption, as we haven’t seen the extents of a fast-spreading pandemic all over, like hospitals being overwhelmed and crowded with sick people needing assistance, police/military patrolling about and enforcing curfews, stores and public events closed, etc. in America. These things are already happening in Mexico but not yet, insofar, in the US.

It would be a serious blow to the U.S. economy already reeling with unemployment, lay-offs, companies losing money and so forth, the specter of a major economic collapse is around the corner. A very bad thing.

All you needed are prayer for the victims, courage for yourself, hope for your loved ones and friends, and help everyone to get through this difficult time. The Golden Rule always applies in any case.

Can you read lips covered by face masks?

To DeafReaders, as you will notice that more people are buying and using face masks to protect themselves from the flu. If communication is important to you by understanding what hearing people are saying to you during a crisis event, immediately let them know you’re deaf, since you cannot understand or read lips from people wearing face masks while talking. If necessary, have a small notepad and a pen with you in handy when you’re out and about. Some hearing people may be reluctant to remove face masks as you would wanted to understand what they’re saying to you, so keep that in mind.

Also, in the event of national emergency (i.e. martial law), if you’re out in public, not aware of curfew restrictions in some places, and there is police/military patrolling about, seeing YOU, do not do anything stupid or make sudden move as if you’re trying to indicate to them you’re deaf. Frankly, it is preferable for you to be quiet, be still, have your hands up and be arrested on the spot than be shot first and questions asked later. The police/military are very strict with their orders in a national emergency and they would not take any chance with you regardless of any indication that you’re deaf. They don’t know and don’t care who you are and what you are. In a nutshell: shut up, be still, hands up and follow their cues to be arrested on the spot. It is for your own and their safety, even though you haven’t done anything wrong.

Eventually, the police/military would find out that you are really deaf and you may have not know about curfew restrictions in some places if these were recently communicated over the radio, TV or the Internet. Curfew restrictions can be made on the fly without a warning in some cases. The police/military would probably escort you home (or a jail center or a FEMA camp) for your own safety.

If I were you, I would go out and buy a box of high-filtration maximum protection face masks right away. I already did some months ago.

Flu Pandemic 2009 Accurately Predicted…in 1996!

Holy cow! The Department of Defense and the US Airforce put together a comprehensive report for long-term strategic planning and preparation to address the future’s greatest challenges to the national security of the United States, published in April 1996. The report is titled, Alternate Futures for 2025: Security Planning to avoid Surprise, a research paper presented to the Airforce 2025. It’s an unclassified report cleared for the public in 1996. In chapter five, a plausible history revealed what would happen if a flu pandemic hits China and worldwide in 2009, resulting in the death of over 30 million people, an assumed number if the outbreak was contained somehow. Technology could not solve some old problems, as in 2009, when an influenza pandemic struck in southern China, then rapidly spread worldwide.¹⁷ Three hundred-thirty million people were affected and over thirty million died.¹⁸ No one ever determined if the virus was a natural mutation or bioengineered.¹⁹ Many feared the latter.

This may be indeed a surprise for some of you. But it is not surprising to me, because the Department of Defense always do this kind of long-term strategic planning and preparation report every now and then (since World War II), particularly in the face of ever-changing geo-political circumstances and challenges to the United States. The collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War in 1991 gave rise to the expansion of American power around the world for the next 17 years, quite an unprecedented event in the human history.

Oddly, the Air Force 2025 report has no mention of a possible scenario involving international terrorists using civilian airlines to hit US cities. The scenario would have been exactly described what happened on 9/11/2001.

We may be seeing an increase of regional conflicts between now and 2011, with Pakistan potentially imploding into chaos and civil war, Somalian Islamic “pirates”, and North Korea’s latest emboldened actions. It would seem that the pandemic is setting the stage for something bigger and more dangerous event(s) to come in America and the world, don’t you think?

Did WHO confirmed that with a cryptically suggestive statement as seen below?

The Swine Influenza A/H1N1 viruses characterized in this outbreak have not been previously detected in pigs or humans. The viruses so far characterized have been sensitive to oseltamivir, but resistant to both amantadine and rimantadine.

If it has not been detected in pigs or humans before, then where does it come from? It is definitely not occurring in nature. I recalled last year reading from a forum board, with heavy discussions implying a weaponized flu hitting North America sometime in 2009. I was bit skeptical about it at the time, now I’m changing my mind in the light of this sudden outbreak.

Let’s pray that this swine H1N1 flu is contained thoroughly with better preparations and prevention measures by the experts on the field. I only hope that it does not get blown out of proportions, resulting in chaos and terror all over.

Swine flu pandemic hitting North America?

UPDATE: CDC announced a news conference to the public about H1N1 “pandemic” at 2:30 EST today. (Update) Now CDC said it’s too late to contain the outbreak. WTF?

I do not wanted to be an alarmist about this, it’s important to be cautious and aware of this: CDC is concerned about a swine flu outbreak. If anyone of you has gone to Mexico on a spring break recently, you should go to a hospital IF you’re experiencing any symptom that may be associated with this new strain never seen before.

Excerpt: “It is a virus that mutated from pigs and then at some point was transmitted to humans,” Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova told the Televisa network.

This could become a pandemic, just like the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. However, it’s still too soon as this new strain has never been scrutinized by scientists before. We’ll see how this will turn out.

Western nations boycotting racist Durban II conference

UPDATE: British, Finnish, and French delegates walked out of the UN conference when Iran’s Ahmadinejad called Israel “racist” today. To rub it in, Iran picked this date because it’s the 120th birthday of Adolf Hitler.

Exactly one month ago, I blogged about Durban II conference being deceitful and racist in itself, the OIC (Organization of Islamic Conference) continues to hold the UN conference on racism, xenophobia and free speech as their own, using the platform to condemn Israel and ban freedom of speech, particularly the defamation or criticism of Islam, worldwide. President Obama, last week, stated that the U.S. will boycott the conference. Australia follows suit, then Sweden, with Canada, Italy, Germany, and Israel joining in. I hope a good score of nations or more will join in the boycott and condemn the OIC’s attempts to dominate the United Nations.

Now, you ask, why do I think the OIC is attempting to take over the UN?

The OIC is a body organization of 57 Islamic nations (and with few* more to join in the future), making it the largest international bloc in the world. Not even the European Union has that many. With the combined wealth of these nations, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, etc., it is influentially powerful, which would give the OIC a global carte blanche to advance Islam. It has its own human rights charter that’s entirely based on shariah laws, not the UN Declaration of Human Rights. It has been using the UN Human Rights Council as its platform to attack and denounce Israel, America, critics, writers, bloggers, and artists for criticizing (or lampooning in few cases) Islam, its founder, the Islamic governments, and to circumvent human right violations occurring in the Islamic countries. The purpose of Durban conference on racism is nothing more than a political move to greenlight a new genocide and persecution of the Jews by destroying Israel and those nations standing against the global advances of Islam. The OIC is purportedly using the UN for that reasons.

History is actually repeating itself, though with an unusual twist: in 1938, a world conference took place in Evian-les-Bain, France, initiated at the behest of Pres. Roosevelt. It dealt with the question of Jewish refugees, few hundred thousands Jews were forcibly stateless in Nazi Germany and the Nazi-occupied countries. The American businessman, Myron C. Taylor (who was my distant cousin) attended the conference at the urging of Pres. Roosevelt, tried to persuade the Nazi officials to drop the quota limitation on the Jewish refugees but to no avail (nevertheless, Taylor had an extraordinary career in the international affairs for the next several years, serving his friend Roosevelt and Truman with distinction). The current Durban conference highlights a key concern: the right-of-return for the millions of Palestinian refugess to Israel, a surety for the destruction of the Jewish state. Which is why I stated history is repeating itself, with an unusual twist.

It is time for the United States and the western nations to stop paying lip service to the OIC and arrest the advances of Islam before it would erode and cripple the Judeo-Christian and secular foundations of the Western world. Any proceeding or policy position from the Durban II conference should be rejected outright. Religious influences from the OIC have no place in the future of an already advancing global civilization. We have come this far. So, why should we have to be constrained by a 1400+ years old religion that has a violent history and a very orthodox dogma?

It is time we reject the deception, the intimidation and threats from the OIC and its unelected Islamic thugocrats.

* = One country has an observer status with the OIC, has a growing Muslim population and could become a majority by 2050, it has 11 time zones, 9 thousands nuclear missiles, lot of oil and natural gas reserves, famous for its ballerina and vodka. Can you guess that country?

Ohio law proposed banning credit history in hiring people

The Columbus Dispatch has an article about a Senate bill being introduced to the state government banning companies from discriminating potential applicants based on their poor credit history.

To me, it is a logical move. How can companies not hire people, saddled with debts or poor credit history, who needed jobs with sustainable incomes to pay back the debts? You cannot pay back your debts without a job and money. This goes beyond minorities, there are regular people who are out of work, have higher medical bills, student loan debts, housing loan debts, and so forth. These issues affect people’s credit history and rating over their lifetimes.

Understandably, companies are within their right to reject applicants with poor credit history for sensitive jobs involving finances, lending, and handling lots of money. It is an issue of trust and credibility, if the candidate has a history of managing money irresponsibly or illegally. Most companies do thorough background checks on potential candidates for sensitive positions. However, some companies may not offer jobs to potential applicants strictly based on poor or bad credit history. That’s why the bill is to ban the practice among employers not to consider people’s credit history when they applied for jobs. People, in general, like to prove their worth and skills in any job, regardless of their credit history, good or bad.

Could it be a possibility of amending credit history to the list of protected categories in the future? That all depends on how the states, like Ohio, would enact law to ban discrimination in hiring based on people’s poor credit history.

Just ordinary Americans who love this country and does not like what the US government under Pres. Obama is doing so far. They are doing something what the ordinary American colonists did on Dec. 16, 1773. Liberal and media pundits would wanted you to hate this country and freedom subliminally. We shall know by the fruits of their labor starting today.

UPDATE ~ 4.16.09: I attended the Tax Day Tea Bag Rally at the Statehouse in downtown Columbus. It was a great turn-out, an estimated 5ooo people shown up, filling up the west lawn of the Statehouse. It was peaceable, orderly and festive. I would say half of the crowd were families with children. A number of Ohio’s politicans and local media pundits made their speeches, including John Kasich who may run for the Governor of Ohio in 2010 or for the White House in 2012. This rally was set up by a 19 years old Ohio State government major. He called for the abolition of the current tax system and be replaced with the FairTax plan (read the plan).

Overall, the mainstreamed media coverage of the national Tax Day Tea Bag rallies is nothing short of pathetic and insulting. FoxNews provided a great daylong coverage. The CNN and NBC coverages were obscene and childish. A two-faced CNN reporter Susan Roesgen was unprofessional and nasty to a demonstrator holding up his 2 years old child, see the video here, courtesy of Doug Powers. CNN: “Let’s see… drop taxes… drop socialism. Okay, let’s see. You’re here with your two-year old daughter and you’re already in debt. Why are you here today, sir?”

Man with child: “Because I hear a President say that he believed in what Lincoln stood for. Lincoln’s primary thing was, he believed that people had the right to liberty and the r –”

CNN: “What does this have to do with taxes?”

Man: “Are you going to let me speak?”

CNN: “What does this have to do with taxes? Do you realize that you’re elibible for a $400…”

Man: “Let me finish my point! Lincoln believed that people had the right to share in the fruits of their own labor and that government should not take it. And we have clearly gotten to that p–”

CNN: “Right, right, right — did you know that the state of Lincoln gets fifty billion dollars out of these stimulus — that’s fifty billion dollars for this state, sir!”

Man: “Ma’am, ma’am, ma’am, I’m… can you stop this, sir?”

CNN: “Alright, we’ll move on… (to audience) I think you get the general tenor of this, uh, it’s anti-government, anti-CNN, since this is highly promoted by the rightwing conservative network Fox and… since I can’t really hear much more, I think this… is not really family viewing, toss it back to you, Kera.”

Pathetic! She is wrong on all counts. The rallies were great, CNN and NBC sucks.

American Captain Hostage Freed by U.S. Navy!

Breaking news: American Captain Richard Phillips finally free from being a captive of Somalian pirates terrorists by the U.S. Navy! Thanks God, it’s over. And thanks God for the U.S. Navy. The good captain has recently spoken to his wife in Underhill, Vermont.

Excerpt, to emphasize today’s Easter message:

In Phillips’s tiny hometown of Underhill, Vt., the Rev. Charles Danielson urged his flock in the St. Thomas Church’s Easter services to pray for the cabbie-turned-captain’s safe homecoming.

“Evil and death and sin do not have the final say,” Danielson told the faithful. “That is the essential message of Easter.”

“The world of pirates and criminals large and small who prey on individuals, whole nations and regions of the world, they are the ones on the wrong side of history.” Phillips’ wife, Andrea, stayed home in the couple’s small white farmhouse, besieged by reporters.

Absolutely right. Let that message be sent to these Islamic terrorists in Somalia and on the high seas: don’t ever mess with the USA.

Mariners and coastguards don’t go trolling the seas to hijack foreign ships and take crews hostage, so they can get to the ships’ resources and steal them, threatening to kill captains for outrageous sums of money from foreign countries. That statement is an offensive insult to every hard-working, professional mariner/coast guard in the world. That article, written by a liberal Western journalist no doubt, is the perfect example of reporting excuses for jihad violence on the high seas. The Somalians are on the wrong side of history in this complicit of “piracy” against foreign, non-military ships passing through.

Video: Woman Jumped In to Hug Polar Bears, Almost Became Their Meal

Before you see this video below, let me STRESS THIS POINT: polar bears are NOT your cute, cuddly friends to hug and play with. In fact, polar bears are considered the land “sharks” of the north: they’re ferocious, powerful, and can outrun or outswim you. They are the apex of all the predatory land mammals. The ultimate survivalists, indeed, magnificent creatures they are. But if you approach them alone in the wilderness, you may not have a prayer of surviving it (unless you are an Eskimo or has a gun in hand). Once, I saw on a TV show that had a polar bear actually taking on a larger, powerful-looking bull walrus and won, the raw power was incredible and the fight was very bloody. I thought the walrus would win by its sheer size, but was shocked by the outcome.

This woman, as the CNN reported recently, climbed over a fence and jumped into the polar bears’ enclosure at the Berlin Zoo, probably doing something like maybe a hug and playtime. The zookeepers managed to rescue her from becoming a possible recipient of the Darwin Award of 2009, at least they fished her out.

There are four pictures of the woman swimming up near a polar bear (look at the size of that thing in one picture!). She was very stupid by putting her life at risk. Probably as result of watching all that global warming propaganda movies and TV shows about how cute, cuddly and endangered polar bears are, with the excessive marketing and merchandising of “aww, how cute” factor being played on young people’s minds. Like that woman’s mind. No common sense there.

I fault some zookeepers and eco-nutters for perpetuating the above fraud and misrepresentation of dangerous species for the sake of saving the planet, not mindful that species like the polar bears have survived for several thousands years with or without human intervention.

Comments are bitingly funny (snarky, though). Polar bear to zookeeper pulling up a woman: “Just a little, a nibble please?”

Jihad Violence on French Bus, Media Ignored, Disturbing Video Included

A disturbing video from France provided by a French reader of “Atlas Shrugs” blog highlighting the problem of Muslim immigration in France: native French citizens are being intimidated or threatened with violence by the Muslim immigrant thugs in the public places. I took a screenshot of this video (WARNING: website Not safe for children, Not work-safe, about 6 minutes, containing violence and cowardice).

Three young Muslim thugs, including the one in white hood jacket, robbed and relentlessly assaulted a young man with the scarf (foreground in the video). Barely anyone came to the young man’s defense until it was all over. Disgraceful.

Before I say anything, I want you to know that I’m a great fan of your blog, which I read everyday from where I live in France, along with Jihadwatch.org and so far it has never let me down, so please keep up this great work, your site is a great source of information not only for Americans, but also for people all over the world.

I write to you today regarding a video released on the internet 2 days ago that the french medias won’t put on their website. The video was uploaded by a young policeman who has been arrested as a result. It shows 3 young french muslims stealing a young man’s wallet (man with the scarf), who is then pushed down to the floor and severely beaten after he tried to get it back. As the young man was being kicked and punched, his aggressors screamed “sale français” (f***ing french), clearing any doubt that one may have on the reason why he was targeted by those people. Here are a few links to this video, it was taken off the major video sharing websites youtube and dailymotion but still remains available at these addresses here and here.

Curiously, medias never talked about this cruel battery which yet dates back to December 2008 (Trust me though should the victim have been muslim we would have heard about it for months). Actually the only thing that brought their attention was the fact the policeman had illegally uploaded this video on the internet, therefore disclosing the perpetrators’ faces (but not to worry, the few newspapers which produced a picture of this video on their site blurred their face … not the victim’s though).

Yet what is even more saddening and alarming is the fact that barely anyone tried to defend this young man, most of the passengers just looked away or escaped the bus, simply ignoring what was going on before them, not even the bus driver tried to make a move. Unfortunately this video is only the tip of the iceberg, this kind of assaults is extremely frequent in Paris suburb, and every time it happens no one dares to intervene, apparently people would rather waits for their turn to be beaten up and humiliated as a result of their nationality, no wonder the West is dying if French cowardice is spreading to rest of Europe! Anyway I thought this video could give your readers a taste of what is expecting us if we don’t act against uncontrolled muslim immigration quickly.

In other news: Hillary R. Clinton, the U.S. Secretary of State, laughed off the suggestion that the U.S. should take on the Somalian Muslim pirates terrorists directly, reiterating Obama’s ridiculous policy position that Islam is just “misunderstood” and “misinterpreted” and that we are not at war with Islam. She also flunked U.S. history about Morocco being the first African nation to recognize the United States in the late 18th century, clearly ignoring the documented history of the Barbary pirates, operating from Morocco and North African states, who were Muslim and used the Koran to justify their actions in piracy:
