Reading from an interesting report from Mania.com about an easter egg within the recent summer movie, the Incredible Hulk, soon to come next week in wide DVD/Bluray release. It was very amusing and very clever on the director’s part. I checked out few other sites for any rumor about the Captain America movie that Marvel Studios is working on for the 2011 release. One rumor had Will Smith has been offered to play Captain America but Will Smith himself debunked that.
Then I saw this new rumor. There’s a picture of this actor and I thought, “Hmm….”. He has the right look and the right persona of the super-soldier Steve Roger but he doesn’t have the right physique (think of Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson’s physique) of the Sentinel of Liberty. Maybe he might have to spend the whole year of working out and bulking up with a world-renown fitness trainer before he could step into the big red boots. The late Christopher Reeve did that before he dons the red cape as Superman many years ago.
Without much further ado, I’ll give you the actor who may play Captain America, if you just click on the image below to see the actor himself:
Currently, Mark Valley (highlight to see his name) the actor is casted as a bad guy on this new and spooky FOX TV show called “Fringe” (Tuesday night at 9 pm on FOX). We’ll have to see whether the rumor may be true or not. He could be born to play the role of Captain America. Seem like the right, logical choice to me.

i would take brade pitts to play the part, he got the looks and the resume of being one of the best actor. my second choice would be (sorry dont know the actor name ) is the main star in starship trooper, he got the look too.

I think that Josh halloway from Lost would be the perfect person to play the role of captian america, or maybe the younger brother in the super natural t.v. show can’t remember his name. Also the perfect person to play the red skull if they bring him in is Hugo weaving.

That’s certainly a possibility with Josh Halloway. I’m not familiar that he has a younger brother in the other TV show. Hugo Weaving would be great if he has a German accent or can speak German.

This dood would work.
Channing Tatum

No dissrespect to any of the other suggestions but I believe that one particular person has been overlooked for the part. It would be another Captain America FLOP if the wqrong guy is selected. It may be deliberate or not but only one guy could honnestly pull it off. One guy that when I look at him I can say to myself, “Yep, that’s cap.” He is a wrestler named John Sena. any one else would be a waste of time and force me to wait fo video.

Could be John Cena, Alan. One issue: he’s bit short and stocky for Captain America. C.A. is actually 6’3″ or 6’4″, depending on the comic book artists, somewhat slender if not pretty muscular, the closest description in physical resemblance to Cap is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Thanks for your comment.

And he’s not too old…..

I think JOEL GRETSCH is perfect:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0340408/
He is the main actor in “the 4400″ and “Taken” tv-shows.
Also, in my opinion CAP needs to be a guy who just has a mature sense about him.
Especially, if Marvel wants to release an Avengers movie too… because CAP is a natuaral human leader so the actor they choose must not be too much younger then Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)

I honestly think that Mark Walbergh should play the Captain. He is not to old and he is a great actor.

OK, Why the hell are you people insisting on some worn out cliche’ actor play the part of Cap. The only actor who should play the part of the Star Spangled Avenger in my book is the only obvious answer: Mr. Mark Valley from Fox’s t.v. show “FRINGE”. Brad Pitt? Leo Di caprio? Channing Tatum? Christian Bale??? Are you fucktards kidding me?!?!?! The only logical casting answer here is Mark Valley. If I find out that some idiot studio exec decided to agree on casting any of these well known worn out actors..who are either too old or look almost nothing like Cap I will definately be boycotting the movie. I havn’t even mentioned the slap in the face mention to consider Will Smith as Cap. What the F@#$k are you people thinking??? Again….The only logical choice here is “MARK VALLEY”. I’m surprised none of you fucktards nominated Jack Black. Excatly! Here’s a “simple” formula for success when it comes to immortalizing an american icon on film: Stick to the source material. Nuff said.

Given Mark Valley’s age (he’s in mid-40s) might be a factor that he cannot be the new Captain America. The producers would goes for someone younger and more physical in appearance, it would be Alan Ritchson, the actor on the new SpikeTV show, Blue Mountain State. He was on “Smallvile” as Aquaman.

I heard that the actor Jensen Ackles was meant to portray captain america. why wasn’t that carried out??

Mark Valley would be the best choice. With a little creative writing it could be great! I really think he could pull this off!

I think a relative unknown named Matt Biedel has the perfect look for Capt. America! Right age too. If you saw him on Cold Case a few months back, he does a great job with characters who are bold and confident, with a swagger… like C.A!
