Congrats to the Giants! No Bob’s House?

What an intense, close Super Bowl game! Congratulations to the New York Giants. For the first time in NFL history, two living brothers won the Super Bowl MVP awards while leading their teams to Super Bowl victories: Peyton Manning for the last year’s Colts and Eli Manning for this year’s Giants. Archie, their father and a pro quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, must be incredibly proud. On the other hand, New England Patriots had an amazing season with an amazing win-loss record: 18-1.

My two biggest disappointments with the whole Super Bowl event: half of the new commercials were not captioned at all and I did not see the deaf-friendly Pepsi commercial, “Bob’s House” throughout the Super Bowl event. I was at a friend’s house and, being that there were 6 people, including yours truly, all anticipating to see it on my friend’s 50″HDTV, only that we did not. How disappointing. Maybe AGB have something to do with pressuring the Fox Network?

UPDATE: Mishka Zena just blogged that it did aired about 30 minutes before the Super Bowl. Thanks for the tip, Mishka! Apparently, it aired at the time I was on my way to the friend’s house, which I have no problem finding it and did not have to honk my car’s horn.

Since 1995, my own record for picking the right team (or two) to be in a Super Bowl game, eventually winning it, now stands at 18-2. New England Patriots and/or Green Bay Packers were my original picks midway through the 2008 season and the NY Giants was not among my early picks. It is quite ironic that I’d originally picked the Giants in the 2000 season to be heading for the Super Bowl XXXV in 2001, only that I was not expecting Baltimore Ravens to made through the playoffs and won that SB35.

In another disappointing news tonight…
Finally, an old source confirmed to me about something not so good about John McCain’s hidden past. I can see why Ann Coulter endorsed Hillary Clinton instead of John McCain, like DeafDemocrats have blogged about it. Frankly I am now very angry at John McCain, a true conservative and a war hero? Forget it. It’s really shocking but here is it: the CIA have a classified file on McCain’s secret collaboration with the North Vietnamese Army and the Soviet military intelligence in Hanoi while as POW.

Why, John?! Why did you get a nice comfortable room with two prostitutes servicing you while the rest of the American POWs see so little of you and rot away in their prison cells? The Vietnam Veterans against McCain have been waiting for this lightning-hot evidence to come to the surface for so long and now the Clintons are prepared to use the discretion of their friends at the CIA against McCain as they see fit.
