Rob’s brief no. 1: Al Qaeda used Down’s Syndrome women as unwilling suicide bombers
Sick. Sick. Sick. This is how far and desperate Al Qaeda militants in Iraq are willing to go: by using two women who have Down’s Syndrome, strapped them with explosive packages, instructed them to walk into two pet markets in Baghdad and wait to be detonated by remote control from the distance, killing 73 peoples, all Iraqis. No report was made with how many pet animals and birds were killed in the separate bombings.

What next? A blinded man being asked to hold and carry a bag for a moment in a heavily crowded place, only to be detonated by the explosions in the bag, killing a score of people around the blinded man? A deaf woman being asked unwittingly to help move a package forward by a harried, fast-talking stranger who will detonate the bombs by remote from a distance? Those terrorists in Iraq and elsewhere are getting smarter and savvier than ever before in order to subvert security and spread chaos.

Rob’s brief no. 2: Pepsi rankled by AGBell over an ASL-friendly commercial ad?
My sources informed me that some top corporate people at PepsiCo were rankled and mystified by Alexander Graham Bell organization’s opposition to the wonderful Super Bowl Pepsi ad, “Bob’s House”. Accordingly, they do not understand what was the fuss was all about with AGB’s “position” over it? As it would appear, they may not be fully aware of the decades long-standing feud between the ASL-oriented deaf community and the AGB org, especially the issue over ASL vs oralism and among other things. I wonder if NAD have mention to the top PepsiCo people about AGB or not?

You know what? It is much ado about nothing with AGB’s ridiculous position. The “Bob’s House” commercial was simply fantastic and well done. AGB, instead of bitching about it, make your own commercial and post ‘em at YouTube.com. I’m sure there are people out there who would enjoy ‘em. ;)

Rob’s brief no. 3: Who am I rooting for? The Patriots or the Giants?
Why, the Patriots, of course! It’s about time to de-throne the 1972 Miami Dolphins team and let the Patriots take its place as the greatest NFL team, with all wins and no loss. I’m sick and tired of hearing or reading about the ’72 Dolphins all the times, albeit no disrespect to the team and Don Shula. It is just the right time for the king to step down from the throne after 36 years reign and let the New England Patriots take over.

Go Patriots! My record for picking the right NFL team to be in a Super Bowl stands at 18-1 since 1995 – the 2000 Baltimore Ravens was the surprise exception, winning SB XXV over the Giants. I thought the Ravens would lose in a playoff game but no, they made it all the way.
